Nikon D700 + GRIP FX
So I’ve recently upgraded from the Nikon D200 + Grip to the Nikon D700+ Grip. Before you ask, why not the D3? I have a simple answer. I don’t NEED it. If my job was to own, play with and review the latest cameras, then yes I would own the D3 and possibly the D3x, but job is to take photographs and I feel that my money is better spent on great lens’ and lighting!
All that aside the D700 is essentially a D3 shrunk down and squeezed into a body roughly the same size as a D300, its slightly larger and heavier. But with the MBD10 Grip, it transforms into the D3, and for a studio photographer like myself, I don’t miss the small differences. The 12.1 Mp FX is more then enough for me right now, but the D3x is next on my list. But right now I’m still in amazement of the D700’s quality!
