Cell Phone
A roll-out display and cute buttons placed on the scroll are definitely hot-looking... but imagine using this piece on an everyday basis. If you'd need to pull the display out in a jiffy, then the tactile bit for keypad will last as long as you treat the baton well. Key words… treat the baton well.

Doubles As A Webcam
This unnamed design by Andy Kurovets and Kris Dekeijser is a headphone that doubles as a webcam. That giant crystal on the side is actually a cover hiding the lens. The idea is no matter where you’re listening to music, seeing your friends is just a crystal popping moment away. Would be amazing if someone could write software to see the world as only the side of your head could while listening to music. OR this could just be the next best thing to that Neon Genesis Evangelion costume you’ve been secretly toiling away at in your garage. Don’t lie!

Toshiba Phone
The first model (the K01) comes with a slider QWERTY keyboard, a 4.1-inch capacitive screen, a 1-GHz processor, and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It has a thickness of 0.60 inches and might be available for sale before the end of this year. As for the K02, it is a smartphone with a 3.5-inch resistive touchscreen in a landscape clamshell design and, as a novelty, it also has a secondary LCD display; the K02 has a very similar design to the Nintendo-DS console, but with a more elegant style.
And, lastly but not least, the Toshiba L01 is a tablet-like device with a 7-inch display and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. In addition, the L01 also can work as a digital photo frame. This smartphone would be available for sale at the end of the current year. Most probably they will come with Windows Mobile 6.5, but it would not be strange if later they can run Windows 7 by doing an update.
LCD Monitor
DoubleSight Displays has unveiled a new line of LCD display screens which are called Smart USB monitors.
They are available in several versions: 7-inch, 9-inch, and 9-inch with webcam. Each LCD monitor is designed to work with any desktop or laptop computer with an USB port (a VGA port is not needed). And, by using a software called DoubleSight’s Display Link, the user will be able to connect up to six Smart USB Monitors to his/her existing PC.
Like most of USB screens, these screens require no video chipset. Besides, they work in both landscape and portrait modes.
You can buy these monitors by using the online DoubleSigh shop. The 7-inch monitor costs $ 139, the 9-inch one costs $ 169 and the 9-inch one with webcam has a price of $ 199.
The 7-inch monitor has a maximum resolution of 800×480, while the 9-inch version supports up to 1024×600 pixels. All the versions muster a 30ms pixel response time and are compatible with Mac OS X and Windows PCs.

One of the biggest electronic companies in the world (Philips) has just officially announced an Android phone called “Philips V808″. This new gadget is mainly targeted to China market.According to some reports, this phone would be marketed by the largest mobile network in a global context: China Mobile (of course, it is the largest mobile network in China, too). The Philips V808 has a 3.2-inch touch-screen, widgets support, Global Positioning System (GPS), music and video player, slot to insert microSD memory cards with storage capacity of up to 8 GB, GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, and a built-in 3.2-megapixel camera which is a good option to take quick and casual pictures that doesn’t require high resolution.
The phone has a very simple design but, however, it is very elegant and stylish.
At this time, there is no official word about the availability of this phone in the rest of the world, but it is possible that it could be marketed in other countries, too. Anyway, it seems this is one of the most important products that Philips will launch at the end of this year, although the exact release date has not been announced yet.

Nikon D700 + GRIP FX
So I’ve recently upgraded from the Nikon D200 + Grip to the Nikon D700+ Grip. Before you ask, why not the D3? I have a simple answer. I don’t NEED it. If my job was to own, play with and review the latest cameras, then yes I would own the D3 and possibly the D3x, but job is to take photographs and I feel that my money is better spent on great lens’ and lighting!
All that aside the D700 is essentially a D3 shrunk down and squeezed into a body roughly the same size as a D300, its slightly larger and heavier. But with the MBD10 Grip, it transforms into the D3, and for a studio photographer like myself, I don’t miss the small differences. The 12.1 Mp FX is more then enough for me right now, but the D3x is next on my list. But right now I’m still in amazement of the D700’s quality!

High Display
Just imagine yourself sitting down in front of your computer and seeing plastic, thin displays on both sides of your computer monitor, having high-resolution text pages which you can print from or refer to and on the wall right next to you will be another huge display monitor were you can show your family and friends pictures and notes or a power point presentation to your colleagues at work. This is just one of the visions that Hewlett-Packard Co. has in mind to bring to the market with the alternative low cost computer monitors of any size. The HP laboratories in England and Bristol have been working on the evolution of the high resolution, trying to get a paper like display by using plastic instead of the original glass for all the applications such as magazines, electronic books, posters and other new products that will be possible for the future computer monitors.
HP had a presentation at the National Gallery in London, where they showed all their new prototypes using the new concept of display technology, being the first step in breaking out the 1000 by 1000 pixel wall that all the computer users see the electronic world.
"We have a thousand times more disc space and a thousand times more computer power, but we're still looking through a little display window that's essentially the same as it was 10 years ago," stated the manager of the display research team at the HP labs, Adrian Geisow.
Although the LCD prototype was very small, having only 1.18 inches by 1,57 inches, it has the power to display 125 colors and has a feature of bistable passive matrix which means that researchers will build monitor displays with as many pixels as they would like. The prototype that was thin as a finger nail showed very clear images from the famous collection of the gallery and researchers stated that they are very confident that they would scale them to a much larger size. In only three years they said that they would have more plans for the use of the display technology and maybe also have a product on the market.
"We think this is a substantial milestone for large, low-cost, quality displays," stated the manager of the digital and media department of the HP labs, Huw Robson. When the displays will be scaled at 16.9 inches by 22.8 inches, researchers expect the price to drop low about five times the actual amount that a LCD monitor costs now. Geisow said that 'We've done cost modeling to suggest that this kind of savings is reasonable'. The enthusiasm of the researchers about the potential cost and the size of the computer monitor displays is also produced by the fact that they have created a new process of manufacturing them that implies a print like process on plastic. This is a more affordable and simple process than the one that implies making the glass for a LCD computer monitor using photolithography. The latter process takes action like the film developing on a substrate to gain a very own pattern for the images that will be displayed.
This technology permits 200 or even more pixels to be per inch which would give a resolution suited for paper like graphics. This would be a very suitable technology for arts and texts. Geisow also stated that 'This technology is targeted at print and paper like applications' observing that no other technology that is current on the market can compete with paper when it comes to the subject of presenting images like you see them in books, posters or magazines. "With this technology we think we've opened the door for whole new possibilities" said the manager of the developing graphics HP laboratories. This will make HP the new power in the printing world because it is the first manufacturer of this kind of ground breaking technology Robson saying that 'We are always looking to research new areas of our market we can move into".

Mobile Home
Nomadic life, with its adventurous and surprising elements, has always attracted human beings. The only difference is that while earlier it used to be harder and somewhat of a compulsion, now it has turned into a leisure activity. Designer Andrew Maynard, keeping the nomadic spirit up and high, has come up with his new mobile house design that will make life comfortable even when you are miles away from your home. Hailed as ‘BOB,’ the mobile house presents a quality living space for a small family. Its gearbox, engine and drivetrain are neatly placed under the front seats, making the mobile house spacious.
D-Roll
Modern gadgets apart from being stylish are getting smaller day-by-day. And the latest creation to catch our eye is the ‘next gen laptop design’ by Hao Hua. Dubbed “D-roll” or “digital roll,” the new device works like a regular laptop, but rolls up to be a side bag or even a backpack for easy transportation. Designed like an artist’s tube, the D-roll Laptop features a roll up OLED screen and a slide out keyboard, together with a mouse and a detachable webcam that can be worn on your wrist when not attached to the system. The mouse and web camera can also be used as the end caps for the laptop case, while the straps double as ports to plug in your USB devices.

Ferrari Enlarge
It is understandably important to Ferrari that the 2009 Ferrari California not be seen as a poseur's car. It is available with cruise control. And it carries standard child safety-seat attachments for the rear bucket seats.
100% LED Watch
100%, a design studio has shown off its cool, new LED watch at Tokyo Design Week 2008. The watch looks like a bracelet with numbers shining through it. I really like the design and the good news is that this watch just might go into production.
Red Hot Dragon
The Hayabusa is the symbol of power and speed and if you love big bikes and are anyone, anywhere above the age of 10 across the planet then you most likely have a collection of Hayabusa pics and spreadsheets already. The iconic bike from the East has always represented the pinnacle of ‘big bike’ technology and is arguably the world’s most sought after big bikes outside the US market. While most of the US still loves its huge Harley-Davidson, the power of Hayabusa is still unmatched. This custom crafted ‘Dragon’ Hayabusa is one more that needs to go in to the collection of the best custom crafted big bikes.
The custom crafted “Dragon” Turbo GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa is amazing both in what it carries inside it in terms of sheer raw power and also with the stunning graphics and body work on the outside. This must really be perfect for the Chinese spirit with both the Red and the Dragon and without a shadow of a doubt would be hot if it threads the streets of Beijing. In fact, it would be popular anywhere across the world with its sheer stunning looks and amazing balance that is powered by the renowned Hayabusa engine. Must be quite an adrenaline rush on this one though!
The low drawn out position of the bike along with its aerodynamics make it a real beauty to drive both in terms of straight line speed and also the flowing curves. The dragon is indeed one hot scorching custom crafted Hayabusa!
